The Adavale Lane Community Hall is situated in Goonumbla, about 30 minutes north of Parkes. From its innocuous shed exterior, you step into a spacious, multipurpose hall decorated with a thousand lights mimicking the night sky. It also features a community-designed and painted mural that records the history and strength of this proud farming community.
It brings the members of this community together to support one another in times of celebration, hardship and sorrow, strengthening their collective capacity. This modest corrugated iron hall is a welcoming, functional focal point for the farming community and is kept alive by the community itself.
As part of the Halls with Heart project, RAMHP sought to reinforce community awareness of mental health, encourage the application of both collective and individual strategies, and support conversations and connections.
Our hall welcomes families from near and far who want to be part of a rural community experience. We’re proud that it’s a happy place, and that people enjoy coming to events and meetings.
