Mental Health Matters Awards

In October, Tamworth based RAMHP Coordinator, Kate Arndell traveled to Sydney to attend the Mental Health Matters Awards as a Finalist for her My Drought Story project.

These awards recognise excellence and innovation in mental health promotion and we’re thrilled to announce that My Drought Story won the ‘Outstanding Achievement in Mental Health Promotion’ Award.

My Drought Story aimed to give Australians living in regional areas the opportunity to share their experiences of adversity during times of drought. The images and stories allow us to reflect, fill us with hope and help us build resilience, courage and preparedness for the next time we’re faced with adversity. RAMHP proudly supported this project and it’s fantastic to see it recognised with this award.
